Laoniu Children’s Discovery Museum of China National Children’s Center is a pivotal component of the Laoniu Children's DiscoveryMuseum Project spearheaded by the Lao Niu Foundation in Inner Mongolia. This museum marks the first of its kind in China—a non-profit institution established collaboratively by the China National Children's Center, the Lao Niu Foundation, and Beijing Normal University. It integrates advanced international operational models and educational concepts tailored for children's museums.
The museum, designed primarily for children aged 0-7, embraces the educational philosophy of learning through hands-on activities and play, offering an environment rich in multi-sensory learning opportunities. With a total construction area of approximately 2,400 square meters and exhibition spaces covering about 1,800 square meters, the museum is divided into seven halls: "City Square", "Merry Market", "Bustling Town", "Sunshine Valley", "Science World", "Theme Space", and "4D Cinema". The design of the exhibition incorporates elements of the traditional Chinese zodiac.
