Hohhot Laoniu Children's Discovery Museum is a key component of the Laoniu Children's Discovery Museum Project initiated by the Lao Niu Foundation in Inner Mongolia. Launched by a government agency, a charity organization, and a private institution, this nonprofit initiative, which encompasses a sustainable early childhood education program with distinct Chinese characteristics, stands as a successful model of cooperation between government and nonprofit organizations.
The museum highlights the importance of respecting children, underscores the role of family education, fosters a spirit of collaboration, and calls for dedicated effort. Designed mainly for children aged 0-7, it features two exhibition halls. Hall 1 focuses on society, history, geography, culture, and art, aiming to help children gain a clear understanding of the world through observation and hands-on experiences, while nurturing their curiosity. Hall 2 centers round science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, providing opportunities for children to engage in experiential exploration that spans from ancient times to the future world.
